How To Astral Project

Astral projection is often thought of as “mystical”, but in fact just about everyone has the ability. In fact, lots of people experience astral projection unaware. So the trick sit is to have control over it and do with it what you want to do.
Let’s assume that you are already familiar with the astral plane and you know what astral projection is. The purpose of what follows is to tell you about a few different ways of how to astral project. If you know which methods work best for you, you can know the powerful experience that is astral projection.
The primary method of understanding how to astral project, is a straightforward process consisting of five basic steps which can be done while lying down on your bed.
*While lying there, completely relax your body so that you enter a deep state of relaxation. Lie on your back and start tensing then relaxing every muscle in your toes and feet. Work your way upward through your body from your toes to your head. You might feel discomfort or heaviness the first times you try this; but this is normal because you just aren’t used to feeling so relaxed.
*Okay, hopefully you will have achieved a state of deep relaxation, so now you need to control your breathing with slow deep breaths by following a method which has proven to be very popular in meditation. Breathe in deep but slowly and allow yourself to actually feel the air moving into you as it makes its way into your lungs. Now breath out slowly, once again paying attention to the air leaving your body. This is the bit many people find hard due to the extreme relaxation which results. Instead, they simply fall asleep which is of course, the last thing you want to be doing. Focusing on the centre of your forehead will in most cases, help you to remain conscious.
*After several of these breathes, begin thinking of how your body feels, which should be like a heavy slab of clay and difficult to move. Once you sense that you feel this way, shift your attention into your astral body, which is weightless and free, nothing like your physical body. Close your eyes and envision your astral Self, a feather in the wind, or a luminous bird.
*Fourth Now you may have the experience of being able to see perfectly well in your darkened room which should now be illuminated by a purple light even though your eyes are closed! Turn your attention to the light which is coming from your ceiling.
*Fifth Try to visualize pulling this light to your astral body. You’ll feel like you’re floating; this is your astral body floating above your physical body. Just look down and you’ll be able to see your bed with your physical body at rest below.
Once you reach this stage, you have consciously astral projected for the first time. Now you’re ready to astral travel. Here’s another method if the above doesn’t seem to work for you.
This one is known as the gazing technique and it’s actually quite simple. Choose an object which you can see while you’re lying in bed and focus on it. It doesn’t matter what this object is, just make sure that it will be within your line of sight while you’re lying down.
Of course, you must make sure you can gaze at the object as you lie in bed. Now, essentially you’re going to stare at this object. If you feel your attention wandering, bring it back to the object. You should soon begin to feel your eyelids getting heavy. Just keep staring; eventually your eyes will close but you should still be able to see the object as if your eyes are still open. Don’t turn your head; keep “staring”. You’ll come to a point where you want to sit up or stand up, and if you feel yourself do this don’t be alarmed if you can see your own physical body lying asleep on the bed.
If youre really serious about learning to astral project, you need to understand that these methods arent always successful on your first attempt. In all likelihood you may not even be successful with your second or third attempt either but if after that they still dont work, dont give up because there are still other techniques so simply try again using a new method.
It’s not really all that important how you start to astral project. Whatever works for you is great; the important thing is to let your subconscious mind know that it’s OK for your astral body to depart to travel the astral plane and that there’s nothing to fear. One way you can get this message across to your subconscious mind is by using affirmations.
There do exist some shortcuts to becoming able to consciously astral project for those who might not have the patience to try over and over until they get it right. These should enable you to astral project on just your first attempt or second.
Hypnosis is perhaps the most powerful tool available as it gets you into an ideal state relaxation. Additionally, a really good session will also enable you to grasp and accept the principles of astral projection when you experience it.
Recent advancements in sound technology have brought to light, a concept known as ‘binaural beats’which are also proving to be very useful in helping people achieve a state of deep relaxation which is essential for successful astral projection.
Learning how to astral project isn’t actually that difficult. It’s really just about practicing. This is an ability which every man and woman already possesses; it just takes a little work and a little patience to learn to do it at will. Just like being able to read, it’s something you’re born with the capacity to do but you do need to practice to become expert in it.
